Hardware + software solutions

When a product combines a device with software, the software part is often the hardest. We build the apps, servers and integrations that make the hardware useful.

Services in: Hardware + software

IoT platforms

Device data becomes valuable only when someone can see it, analyze it and react. We build the part that makes that possible.

Device integration

A scanner, scale or label printer has to talk to your system. We connect them so the worker needs just one click instead of retyping data.

Device apps

A companion app is the face of a device. It handles pairing, configuration and showing the user what the hardware does, while syncing data with the cloud in the background.

What we can do for you

IoT platforms

Collecting data from sensors and devices, dashboards, alerts and reports.

Hardware integration

Scanners, readers, label printers, scales and terminals connected to your system.

Device apps

Mobile and web apps that control a device or read its data.

Backend and cloud

Server, API, updates and device fleet management.

About this service

Hardware + software solutions combine a device with software: IoT platforms, hardware integrations, device apps over Bluetooth, scanners, readers and label printers. In such projects we handle the software side: apps, backend, APIs and panels.

Software for devices requires cooperation with the hardware maker and careful testing on real devices, so we work closely with your technical team.

Experience you can rely on

We cover the software side of device-based solutions: apps, backend, integrations and panels. Electronics and hardware are handled by your team or a partner, and we adapt to their interfaces and protocols.

Frequently asked questions

What do you do in projects that combine a device with software?

We handle the software side: mobile and web apps, server and API, a data collection platform, integrations with scanners, printers or scales, and a panel for managing devices. We do not design electronics, boards or enclosures. That part is done by the client or a hardware partner, and we work with them on protocols and interfaces. The code and documentation of the software belong to you.

How does collaboration on a hardware product work and how long does the software part take?

We start by agreeing with the hardware team how the device communicates: protocol, data format and update method. Then we build the software iteratively, often on simulated data, before real hardware is available. This way work does not wait for a prototype. Duration depends on the number of parts (app, backend, panel) and on how stable the hardware is, so we set a schedule after analysis, together with a plan for testing on real devices.

What drives the cost of software for a device?

The number of system parts (mobile app, web app, backend, panel), the way the device connects (Bluetooth, network, cable), how many devices must be managed, and the update and security requirements all matter. Hardware stability counts a lot, because changes in the device lead to changes in code. We base the estimate on a communication specification and a feature list, and we split the work into stages.

What are the biggest risks in a hardware and software project?

The most common risks are hardware changes during development, unstable connections and security: device communication, updates and access to user data. We reduce them by agreeing an early communication contract, testing on real devices and encrypting transmission. We follow security management practices aligned with ISO/IEC 27001. We are also honest that purely electronic problems must be solved by hardware specialists, which is why we agree responsibilities up front.

What about updates and development of the software after devices reach the market?

Devices stay with customers for years, so the software has to evolve with them. We plan an app update mechanism and, if the hardware allows it, delivery of new firmware versions through the app or the cloud. The backend is designed to handle a growing fleet of devices. The code and documentation are yours, and after launch we can handle maintenance, monitoring and further development.
